About us

What started as a few people in one town...

Blossomed quickly into a family of volunteers operating through multiple states, from EMTs to combat life savers to students and everything in-between. The South Sound Street Medics formed in June of 2020 after the boom of protests saw many people marked with red duck tape crosses but had little to no training on street medic first aid. That where we came in, we rounded up a group and got to work training, practicing, and working in the field, and thus South Sound Street Medics were born. Our group is a bit unique compared to other street medic groups today, as we are an Indigenous based group, we focus on providing holistic care for activists, our communities, and ourselves, not just first aid at protests.

Since our founding..

We have greatly expanded from our original small scale one-town operations. Now we have members operating in multiple states, providing first aid for frontline activists, herbal and spiritual medicines, care for our houseless communities, street medic training, and have an Earth justice campaign you can read more about Here.
